February 2012 TWC was successful in securing the 2012 emergency slip repair contract for Thames Coromandel District Council. Four walls were on the Papa Aroha coast line. The walls ranged from 56m long to 26m long, and varied in height from 2.0m to 3.5m. The walls were tied back with 8 – 10m ground anchors that were drilled back into the hillside at 10 degrees. TWC managed to maintain one lane of traffic 24hrs a day for the duration of the project, giving minimal disruptions to road users and the local stakeholders.
